Community Stages

Community Stages (CS), is a pending non-profit theatre arts organization in North Central Florida, co-founded by Terry LeCompte and Jim Foster (Ocala Civic Theatre 2018 – 2023). CS provide performing arts training, active participation community arts events, and family-centered theatre performances on “stages” throughout Marion County.

Terry and Jim bring more than 20 years of professional training and experience as NYC-based theatre professionals to Community Stages. With clear and direct vision, CS is committed to expert personal creative development of people of all ages and aspirations!

Community Stages’ theatre arts skill-building and performances classes, workshops, and camps are fun, engaging, and challenging. With our team of highly-qualified teaching artists, participants develop tangible techniques in acting, singing, and dancing. They also develop soft skills in communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creative problem solving, and more through theatre training in skill-building and performance classes. Cultivation of these skills prove advantageous across all career paths.

In residence at Chelsea Art Center on Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, Florida, during the school, CS is also proud to offer residency programs, professional development workshops, private coaching, and technical consultations. We are also available to travel for short-term theatre and events projects.
