Join Community Stages Trunk & Trek Troupe – Oddbits! 8 actors take the audience on a fast-paced journey around the world with International Folktales that will engage people of all ages with great laughs and lots of fun!
Community Stages Trunk & Trek Troup – ODDBITS is proud to present FOLKLORE IN GEAR at the Appleton Museum of Art on April 20th at 2:00 PM.
Our troupe of 8 actors will take the audience on a whirlwind adventure visiting four countries on three continents. In an ultra-creative and engaging storytelling technique, audience members become co-creators as the actors create everything their stories need using their voices, bodies, and faces. In each tale (mini-play) they are all the characters, places, and often —things!
Fun for people of all ages, the traditional folktales (familiar and new) are adapted for stage by Terry LeCompte and Patti Murtha. Each story is fast-paced – chock full of energy and laughs –with the entire performance being less than 60 minutes.
The Appleton Museum of Art performance is free. Donations are greatly appreciated. If you would like to visit the museum before or after the performance admission is required.
