MCA February Exhibit Opening for BODY LANGUAGE

A Member’s Only Opening Reception Celebrating MCA’s February Exhibit

From the delicate curves of the human form to the intricate details of intertwined bodies, through the vulnerability of exposed skin, each piece in this exhibition invites you to appreciate the unique language of the human body.

Curated by visual artist & gallerist Jordan Shapot, and Creative Director & visual artist Stephanie Giera, both members of the Marion Cultural Alliance Board of Directors, the multi-media art exhibit showcases both traditional and contemporary ideas that together exemplify the complexity of the human form. The selected artists illustrate themes such as intimacy, vulnerability, humor, and strength through the beautiful language that our bodies provide. Each piece displayed is a testament to diversity and the human body’s ability to evoke emotion and convey meaning. These works create a dialogue around the many ways in which the human figure can be expressed and celebrated.

Participating artists include Isabelle Ramirez, Diane Cahal, Steph Giera, Andrew Raymond, Jordan Shapot, Britt Spencer, Charlita Whitehead, Charles Eady, Gabi Zuniga, James Blevins, Josh Jacobs, Meagan Gumpert, Francia Torres, Kyle Corley, Emily Bellinger, Amanda Lyons, David Campo and Tyrus Clutter. Overall, this list of participating artists promises to offer a wide range of styles and mediums, making the event or exhibition a diverse and exciting experience for all who attend.
